An Automation Engineer’s Viewspace

Imagine the good old days when there were no collphones. Maybe ten years back. If you were the boss and out of office would some one wait to take decisions ? Most probably not if the decision need to be taken immediately.

Consider what happens now. You get a call on your cell phone. You take the decisions. Or at least your junior consults you and your view infuuences the desisions. What is the net result ? Decision making is pushed upwards.

Over time maybe all decisions would be top driven. Is is healthy ? Are we creating a culture of incompetence in our hierarchies ? Ponder for a moment. Maybe .....
